How to Connect Coinbase Wallet to the MetaMask Extension

Coinbase Wallet can interact with MetaMask, allowing you to manage assets across both platforms. Here’s how to connect them:

Method 1: Import Wallet via Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase)

1. Open MetaMask (browser extension or mobile app).
2. Click your profile icon → "Import an existing wallet".
3. Enter your Coinbase Wallet’s 12-word recovery phrase and set a password.
4. Click "Import"—your Coinbase Wallet assets will now appear in MetaMask.

⚠️ Warning: Only do this on a trusted device. Never enter your seed phrase on suspicious sites.

Method 2: Connect via WalletConnect (For DApps)

1. Open Coinbase Wallet and go to Settings → WalletConnect.
2. Scan the QR code displayed on MetaMask or the DApp.
3. Approve the connection to access your funds securely.

Important Notes:

• MetaMask & Coinbase Wallet will show the same balance if using the same seed phrase.
• Transactions made in one will reflect in the other.
• Never share your seed phrase with anyone.
